Fueling our
Excellence

Ensuring the ability to sustain our success

STONY BROOK
ANNUAL FUND

The Stony Brook Annual Fund is a vital means of providing ongoing support to make the greatest immediate impact on our community. Annual Fund donors direct their charitable gifts to specific academic programs, departments and colleges in addition to scholarships, graduate research stipends and a wide range of campus priorities. Annual giving allows our deans, directors and other faculty to respond quickly to new opportunities and urgent needs not covered by tuition and endowment spending. This ensures that all members of our community enjoy an enriching, dynamic university experience.

But we face the same challenges as institutions across the country — less federal and state funding, skyrocketing costs (particularly for STEM education) and an increasingly competitive market for recruiting the best students. To keep recruiting the best young minds and future leaders from across the socioeconomic spectrum, we need your support.
